Beef, Bacon, Bourbon, Beer – Adults only

One of our most popular classes !!  Calling all carnivores!   This class has  been super popular so don’t wait to grab a ticket to the meat feast!!

This class is loaded with four of the best things in life: Beef, Bacon, Bourbon and Beer! While we all love a good Bacon Burger with a cold beer on the side, this iconic combo has much more potential to make dishes that fit all kinds of tastes and budgets. Pilsner, Lager, Stout…which one do you use? In this class we’ll talk extensively about different beers, and how to pair them or use them with the dish you’re making. We’ll cook with a little bourbon as well.  The same goes for the meat! Did you know that a cow provides over 60 cuts of meat? We’ll show several cuts and what kind of dishes to use them in as well. We’re making hearty meals that embrace these ingredients and show how diverse they can be! We’ll make dishes such as: Beef, Bacon, and Beer Chili, Bacon Cheeseburger Soup, BLT Pasta Salad, Bourbon Bacon Jam, Steak with Ginger Shiitake Glaze,  Beefy Meatloaf, Beer Cheese Soup, and even some Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce and Fudgy Guinness Brownies for Dessert! If you love meat and bourbon and beer (and who doesn’t?) then this is the class for you!

COVID 19 UPDATE: At this time we are allowing optional masking for all students and it is no longer mandatory to wear a mask to class due to the recent state mandate enforced 2/28/22.  We will be providing hand sanitizer at the door upon your arrival. If you have any symptoms, have been around someone with symptoms, or have traveled outside the country recently we are asking that you please stay home and find someone to replace your ticket.  Thank you for supporting us during this challenging time! We will do our best to make our classes as educational and fun as ever.  Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring  a beverage to drink if you wish. We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink. Byob if you wish. 

Our classes are popular and often sell out!  You must cancel your registration at least 5 days in advance of the class date to receive the opportunity to raincheck your tickets to another class (there is a fee to do so). We do not offer refunds for any reason, including Covid related issues. There is a $25 fee (per ticket) to raincheck your tickets to another future class, which is due at the time that you move your tickets. You can raincheck your tickets by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to raincheck at thecookeryinc@gmail.com.  Tickets canceled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund or rain check opportunity for any reason (even Covid / exposure related – we simply cannot accommodate for this).  You may gift or sell your tickets to someone else (for no fee) if you are not able to come- this is the best option if you have to cancel.

If you have a cardboard gift card with a 3-digit number and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out.  If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card. If your gift card has a 16-digit code, you can cash it in online when you purchase your ticket.  Codes are case sensitive and require the dash marks to be entered to process the code.
