Chinese New Year with The Art of Dumplings

January 29 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$49.00 – $79.00

Sold Out!

Learn to make dough, fillings and sauces just in time for the Chinese New Year on February 10th!

This class is appropriate for ages 10 and up or adults.

Dumplings are a traditional Spring Festival food in northern China, but not in the south. On the eve of the Spring Festival, dumplings have an irreplaceable place in many New Year’s Eve banquets, though some areas choose to eat dumplings after New Year’s Eve. Chinese dumplings (Jiaozi, 饺子) are stuffed parcels made of unleavened dough and savory fillings consisting of minced ingredients like meat, egg, tofu, or vegetables. They can be boiled, pan-fried or steamed. The art of dumplings takes you on a flavor and texture journey that mimics an authentic Chinese dumpling. Learn the art of the perfect dough and some different fillings to stuff inside all while discovering the different cooking techniques associated with making this popular street food.  All groups make dough and each group makes a different filling so you can try all kinds in this dumpling buffet!  Varieties include pork, shrimp, veggie and chicken.  Bring in the Chinese New Year with us and learn about a skill that is as old as time!

Please note: menu is subject to change based on product availability and size of the class.

We will do our best to make our classes as educational and fun as ever.  Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring  a beverage to drink if you wish. We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink. Byob if you wish.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ: If you have any symptoms of COVID 19, Influenza, or other illness, or have been around someone with symptoms we are asking that you please stay home and find someone to replace your ticket. We reserve the right to send any attendees home if we suspect illness. This is for the safety of our employees and customers. Thank you for supporting us during this challenging time!

We do not offer refunds for any reason, including Covid related issues.
