Comfort Foods & One Pot Wonders

As December approaches and the air is chilly outside, it makes us hungry for those comfort foods that we crave during this time of year.  The holidays are right around the corner and who has time to spend hours in the kitchen to put dinner on the table?  Eating comfort foods helps us relax, stop from the busyness of life, and just sit back and reflect on the memories associated with those foods.  This class will focus on comfort foods and include some one pot recipes to reduce the clean-up after supper is cooked; leaving more time to just sit.  Here is what we plan on cooking in the kitchen:  Mac & Cheese Soup, Potato-Bacon-Corn Chowder, Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Croutons, Chicken Pot Pie, Chili, and Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread.  You can’t go without dessert…so curl up, relax and unwind from a busy day with Bread Pudding with warm Whiskey Sauce or a Cast Iron Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie. Wow! Are you hungry yet?!?

Please wear close-toed shoes.  No sandals.  Bring your favorite knife to use and a bottle of wine or an adult beverage if you wish.

Class ending times may vary due to awesome cooking skills learned during this class.

You must cancel your registration by calling or emailing the school 5 days or more prior to the date of the class to receive a full refund if you are unable to attend class.
