Diabetic Cooking

Your food choices matter a lot when you’ve got diabetes. Some are better than others. No food is completely off limits, but even if you eat the worst foods in tiny amounts they won’t help you nutrition-wise, and it’s easiest to manage your diabetes if you mainly stick to the “best” options. In this class we will be teaching about the best options for diabetics and how to make delicious food using those selected foods. We will be making things like: sweet potato hummus, rye bread muffins, chickpea veggie burgers, tomato broccoli frittata, balsamic chicken, roasted cauliflower rice, raspberry applesauce, and even strawberry shortcake. Come join us in this fun class that will leave you feeling empowered!

Please wear closed-toed shoes. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide you with knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have bottled water to drink. You may bring adult beverages if you wish.

You must cancel your registration at least 5 days in advance to receive a full refund for this class. You can cancel by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to cancel at amanda@thecookeryinc.com

If you have a gift card and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out. If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card.
