We all know that we’re supposed to be eating a lot of “whole grains,” right? That’s what the bottom of the food pyramid from third grade tells us, anyway. They’re full of fiber and vitamins, can aid in weight loss, and are essential to maintaining a healthy diet. However, finding the right grains to integrate into your diet can be difficult. After you’ve found out which grains are healthy, it can be quite challenging to make them delicious. We have the solution to both issues! Meet us for some great education on whole grains, and then we’ll make recipes to show you that grains can be turned into food that is downright crave-able. We’ll make dishes such as: Tabbouleh with Bulgar, Whole Oat Brittle, Brown Rice Indian Chutney Salad, Rye Dinner Rolls with Orange and Cardamom, Vegetable and Barley Soup, Buckwheat and Beet Salad with Goat Cheese and Hazelnuts, and Whole Wheat Pita with Roasted Corn Hummus. Everything on the menu is completely delicious, and chock full of good-for-you nutrients!
Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. You can bring adult beverages if you’d like. We will provide knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.
