After months of eating like an irresponsible toddler during the holiday season, most of us try to clean up our eating habits as we begin a new year. Annually, somewhere around 45 million Americans start a new diet on January 1st, though some experts say as few as 5 percent of dieters manage to keep the weight off long-term. Instead of trying to go on some crazy fad diet, why don’t we do what we can all easily do- and just eat a little better? Making mindful choices that are still delicious and satisfying will help you lose that Christmas pudge and keep it off. The best way to lose weight is to have an eating plan in mind. If your breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are all planned, you are less likely to just grab an easy pizza for dinner after a long workday. In this class, we have great healthy options for all of your meals such as Baked Egg Shakshuka, Quinoa and Strawberry Salad, Bacon, Eggs, and Arugula on Toast. Sweet Potato Crostinis, Peanut Butter Energy Squares, Hummus Stuffed Baby Bell Peppers, Ancho Chicken with Apricot Salsa, Avocado Grain Bowls, and Steak Chimmichurri! These meals and snacks are vitamin and protein-packed to keep you right on track! With all these delicious recipes, you won’t feel like you’re dieting, and you’ll feel back to your old self before spring!

Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. You can bring adult beverages if you’d like. We will provide knives if you do not have them.  We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.

Our classes are popular and often sell out!  You must cancel your registration at least 7 days in advance to receive a full refund for this class.  There will be a processing fee to cancel your ticket per person no matter when you cancel. You can cancel by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to cancel at amanda@thecookeryinc.com.  Tickets canceled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund.

If you have a cardboard gift card with a 3-digit number and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out.  If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card. If your gift card has a 16-digit code, you can cash it in online when you purchase your ticket.
