Jam and Can

We be jammin!  You have been asking for it, so here it is!  This workshop is our first installment of “canning” or as we call it, jamming!  In this workshop we will be making some familiar and some not-so-familiar jams, jellies, and marmalades.  We will show you how to use a canning pot so you can hear those encouraging “pops” from mason jars filled with your hard work and tasty goodies!  Strawberry-fire roasted jalapeno jelly with Jalapeno Poppers, Mango-habanero Jelly on Chicken, Cinnamon Apple Butter, Strawberry Preserves, Peach Preserves on biscuits, Zucchini Relish for Tartar with White Fish, and Orange Marmalade Stir Fry are among the recipes, plus so much more!  Jams and Jellies – not just for breakfast and bread!  Don’t miss this class that revives the lost art and skill of canning with a fun and modern unique twist!

Recipes and ingredients are subject to change depending on availability and class participation.  Class ending times may vary due to awesome skills learned during class!

You must call or email the school to cancel your registration at least 5 days prior to class to receive a full refund for this class.  Bring your favorite knife and a beverage of your choice if you wish!  Please wear close-toed shoes to class.  We provide aprons and bottled water.
