Kid’s Cooking Bootcamp
June 21 @ 9:00 am - June 24 @ 1:00 pm$350
Does your child love to cook and want to develop skills and techniques that will take their talent to the next level? We have the ticket! Sign them up for culinary boot camp at The Cookery! 4 days, 4 hours each day; just drop them off and we will take it from there! Throughout the week, we will teach your child a variety of skills and techniques to give them a well-rounded education. On day one, we will focus on Knife Skills, and they will use them to create a variety of healthy, kid friendly snacks. On day two, we’ll make woodfired pizza and quick breads (including muffins!). On day three, the kiddos will have a chance to make kid favorite foods such as breaded chicken tenders, mac and cheese, quesadillas, and tacos! On the final day of class, we’ll make and decorate cupcakes, and send them home so you can sample the fruits of their labor! We are only taking 16 kids in this class, so be sure to sign up quickly! Help fill those often dull summer days, and give them skills that will last a lifetime. Your child will also work with a knife all week long that they get to keep and take home with them at the end of the week! How fun! We will also feed your child lunch that they will prepare each day. Your child must wear a mask all day for class. All adults must also wear a mask when entering the building.
Please feed your child breakfast before sending them to boot camp. We will not have lunch until 12:00- 12:30 each day and we do not want them going so long on an empty tummy. Your child will be done at 1:00 and ready for pickup!
COVID 19 UPDATE: At this time we are asking all students to wear a mask to class. We will be taking temperatures at the door, as well as providing hand sanitizer upon your arrival. If you have any symptoms, have been around someone with symptoms, or have traveled outside the country recently we are asking that you please stay home. You may call to cancel your ticket with a two day or more notice, and we will issue a credit to be used on a future class. Thank you for supporting us during this challenging time! We will do our best to make our classes as educational and fun as ever. Now that our county has moved to Tier 1, we can all enjoy our meal under The Cookery roof again! However, if you feel more comfortable taking all of our delicious foods home in a box, you can do that as well! You will get a portion of each dish!
Please indicate the age of your child (children) for a child’s class in the comment sections so we can make sure that their recipes are age appropriate. Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink. Byob.
