Kids Cooking ~ Night in Hogwarts

March 12 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

$30 – $60

Still some space, but don’t hesitate…this one sells out fast!

Appropriate for kids age 6 and up with an adult or 13-17 with or without and adult.  Costumes encouraged!!  Prizes for best costume!!!

Is your child still pining after the Hogwarts letter they never received? That’s okay! For one night only, they can pretend to be a little witch or wizard in this class of magical fun! We’ll be making yummy treats such as Pumpkin Pasties and Cauldron Cakes. We’ll also steal a few recipes from Fred and George and whip up things like Fever Fudge and Canary Creams. Of course, to fill those little bellies on something other than sweets, we’ll make a few English staples like Molly’s Meatballs, Mrs. Weasley’s Sticky Chicken Wings, Savory Scones, and a kid-friendly version of Fish and Chips. Wizards and Muggles alike are welcome to come join us for an evening of fun, food, and magic! Costumes are welcomed and encouraged! We will also get sorted into houses and have Harry Potter Trivia! How well do you know your books!? Prizes for the trivia winners!

COVID 19 UPDATE: At this time we are asking all students to wear a mask to class. We will be taking temperatures at the door, as well as providing hand sanitizer upon your arrival. If you have any symptoms, have been around someone with symptoms, or have traveled outside the country recently we are asking that you please stay home. You may call to cancel your ticket with a two day or more notice, and we will issue a credit to be used on a future class. Thank you for supporting us during this challenging time! We will do our best to make our classes as educational and fun as ever.  Now that our county has moved to Tier 1, we can all enjoy our meal under The Cookery roof again! However, if you feel more comfortable taking all of our delicious foods home in a box, you can do that as well!  You will get a portion of each dish!

Please indicate the age of your child (children) in the comment sections so we can make sure that their recipes are age appropriate. Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide knives if you do not have them.  We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.

Our classes are popular and often sell out!  You must cancel your registration at least 7 days in advance to receive a full refund for this class.  There will be a processing fee to cancel your ticket per person no matter when you cancel. You can cancel by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to cancel at thecookeryinc@gmail.com.  Tickets canceled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund for any reason (even Covid related).  You may gift or sell your tickets to someone else if you are not able to come but we cannot forward them to another class.

If you have a cardboard gift card with a 3-digit number and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out.  If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card. If your gift card has a 16-digit code, you can cash it in online when you purchase your ticket.
