Morton Public Library Hosts~ Lab Girl Garden Party
April 23 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pmFree
Coming soon! A Morton Community Garden! And we have a great way to celebrate the bountiful harvest coming our way! The Cookery has teamed up with The Morton Public Library for a quick and fun 1 hour demo class about how to utilize those garden favorite herbs and veggies! We will show you what great ideas we have cooking in the kitchen to use up some of your spring staple items like zucchini, basil and rhubarb! We will sample a green detox juice and even learn to jam and can our favorite strawberry-rhubarb jam and zucchini relish. Perhaps even a pickle or two 🙂 This class is a demonstrative class and not a hands-on cooking class, though we may encourage guest participation a bit!
This class is free to the first 20 people who sign up for a ticket! (I know! AWESOME!) Please have the courtesy to let us know if something changes in your schedule and you cannot attend so that we can take others in from our waitlist. Submit an email cancellation to Amanda at email@example.com or call in your cancellation at 309-263-6020. Please leave a message if we do not answer.
COVID 19 UPDATE: At this time we are asking all students to wear a mask to class. We will be taking temperatures at the door, as well as providing hand sanitizer upon your arrival. If you have any symptoms, have been around someone with symptoms, or have traveled outside the country recently we are asking that you please stay home.
Class ending times may vary. Bring your favorite beverage to drink if you wish. We will have filtered water to drink.
