Adults only, age 21 and up (cocktails will be served! – bring your own as well!) Calling all Parrotheads!!!!!!!!!!
James William Buffett is an American singer-songwriter, musician, author, actor, and businessman. He is best known for his music, which often portrays an “island escapism” lifestyle. Together with his Coral Reefer Band, Buffett has recorded hit songs including Margaritaville and Cheeseburger in Paradise. He has a devoted base of fans known as “Parrotheads” and this class celebrates all that he represents! Food, fun, and the island way of life! Aside from his career in music, Buffett is also a bestselling author and was involved in two restaurant chains named after two of his best-known songs; he currently owns the Margaritaville Cafe restaurant chain and co-developed the now defunct Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant chain. This class will feature foods that embrace his songs and his restaurants. We will be cooking up recipes like Key Lime Pie, Landshark Fried Fish Tacos with Mango Salsa, Smoked Fish Dip, Fried Kosher Pickles, Jerk Salmon, Caribbean Chicken Egg Rolls, LA Caviar, Gumbo, Cheeseburgers with Heinz 57 Sauce, and of course Boat Drinks & Margaritas to wash it all down! You don’t have to be on a boat or on an island to feel the cool breeze of this fun class! Grab your Hawaiian shirt and join us!
