Do you love spicy food? Cooking with flames? Hot Sauce? Spicy Peppers? Danger??

Then we’ve got a class containing all of your favorite things! Well, maybe not danger. In this burnin’ hot class, we’ll make several dishes containing spicy ingredients, but also many dishes utilizing fire and flames as a cooking method. We will talk extensively about hot peppers and hot spices, and how to pair them correctly with dishes. We’ll make fiery dishes such as Nashville Hot Chicken with Cheesy Grits, Jalapeno Popper Dip, Spicy Pork Tacos with Peach and Fresno Chile Salsa, and Szechuan Beef with Sesame Noodles. Next, our dishes that utilize flames but aren’t spicy at all: A classic Creme Brulee, A Flaming Cheese (Saganaki), Cherries Jubilee over Ice Cream, A Flaming Pineapple Foster, and of course a flaming cocktail to wash it all down!  Come beat the heat with us in fun and unique class!

Please note: menu is subject to change based on product availability and size of the class.

We will do our best to make our classes as educational and fun as ever.  Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring  a beverage to drink if you wish. We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink. Byob if you wish.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ: If you have any symptoms of COVID 19, Influenza, or other illness, or have been around someone with symptoms we are asking that you please stay home and find someone to replace your ticket. We reserve the right to send any attendees home if we suspect illness. This is for the safety of our employees and customers. Thank you for supporting us during this challenging time!

REFUND POLICY – Our classes are popular and often sell out!  You must cancel your registration at least 5 days in advance of the class date to receive the opportunity to raincheck your tickets to another class (there is a fee to do so). We do not offer refunds for any reason, including Covid related issues. There is a $25 fee (per ticket) to raincheck your tickets to another future class, which is due at the time that you move your tickets. You can raincheck your tickets by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to raincheck at thecookeryinc@gmail.com.  Tickets canceled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund or rain check opportunity for any reason (even Covid / exposure related – we simply cannot accommodate for this).  You may gift or sell your tickets to someone else (for no fee) if you are not able to come- this is the best option if you have to cancel.

If you have a cardboard gift card with a 3-digit number and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out.  If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card. To cash in your cardboard gift card, contact us at thecookeryinc@gmail.com

If your gift card has a 16-digit code, you can cash it in online when you purchase your ticket.  Codes are case sensitive and require the dash marks to be entered to process the code.

We reserve the right to cancel classes for any reason. Class cancellations will receive a credit to a future class.
