Everyone wants to look their best for summer! We always encourage healthy eating at The Cookery, and that’s the best way to keep you feeling good in your summer clothes! In this class, we’ll focus on the fresh produce found right here in the Midwest, as well as ingredients you can put in your food to help you shed a couple pounds. We’ll be making lean protein dishes such as: Pan Seared Fish with Tropical Fruit Salsa, Stir Fried Chicken with Pineapple and Peppers, and Mediterranean Chicken Skewers. We’ll be making yummy veggie dishes like Kale and Sunflower Crunch Salad, Rice Noodles with Spring Vegetables, and a Vegetarian Stuffed Zucchini! We’ll even sneak in a Green Tea Cocktail! The key to eating healthy (and sticking to it) is lots of a variety and bold flavors without a lot of fat. Come learn how to eat low calorie food, and love every bite of it!
Please wear closed-toed shoes and pull your hair up. Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide you with knives if you do not have them. We will also provide aprons. We will have bottled water to drink. You may bring adult beverages if you wish. Class ending times may vary- some folks are just speedy in the kitchen!
This class is unique and is sure to sell out. You must cancel your registration at least 7 days in advance to receive a full refund for this class. All refunded tickets will be charged a processing fee. No refunds will be given on cancellations the day before or the day of.
