The Art Of Seafood & Fish Cookery

Fish and seafood is often an intimidating protein for home cooks to tackle. They can be quite finicky, which often results in fish or seafood that is overcooked, has fallen apart, or is flavorless. Have no fear!  In this class we will educate on the basic techniques of cooking successful fish and seafood dishes while discovering amazing recipes. We’ll cover what variety of fish is best for each method of cooking, too!  We will be making dishes such as: Crab Cakes with Remoulade, Sesame Crusted Tuna with Ginger Sauce, Thai Peanut Shrimp & Rice Noodles, Boston Fried Oysters with Dill Sauce, Shrimp Dip & Sesame Crackers, Mojo Salmon over Wild Rice, Tilapia in Tomato Relish, and Blackened Salmon & Farrow Caprese Salad. No boring recipes listed there! The myriad of techniques taught in this class will ensure that you feel confident cooking fish and seafood every time. Wow friends and family with dishes that are flavorful and seem advanced-we won’t tell anyone how easy it really was!

Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. You can bring adult beverages if you’d like. We will provide knives if you do not have them.  We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink.

Our classes are popular and often sell out!  You must cancel your registration at least 7 days in advance to receive a full refund for this class.  There will be a processing fee to cancel your ticket per person no matter when you cancel. You can cancel by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to cancel at amanda@thecookeryinc.com.  Tickets cancelled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund.

If you have a card board blue gift card and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out.  If you reserve your spot with a blue gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card.  Online gift cards with the red bows need to be redeemed online using the 16-digit code when you purchase your ticket.
