The Art of Fish Cookery

May 25 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$65

You may bring a child or teen to this class but you must buy an adult ticket.

Fish and seafood are often an intimidating proteins for home cooks to tackle. They can be quite finicky, which often results in fish or seafood that is overcooked, has fallen apart, or is flavorless. Have no fear!  In this class we will educate on the basic techniques of cooking successful fish and seafood dishes while discovering amazing recipes. We’ll cover what variety of fish is best for each method of cooking, too!  We will be making dishes such as: Fish Tacos with Cilantro Lime Crema, Crab Cakes with Remoulade, Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna with Ginger Sauce, Thai Peanut Shrimp & Rice Noodles, Boston Fried Oysters with Dill Sauce, Shrimp Dip & Sesame Crackers, Mojo Salmon over Wild Rice, Tilapia in Tomato Relish, and Blackened Salmon & Farrow Caprese Salad. No boring recipes listed there! The myriad of techniques taught in this class will ensure that you feel confident cooking fish and seafood every time. Wow friends and family with dishes that are flavorful and seem advanced-we won’t tell anyone how easy it really was!

COVID 19 UPDATE: At this time we are asking all students to wear a mask to class. We will be taking temperatures at the door, as well as providing hand sanitizer upon your arrival. If you have any symptoms, have been around someone with symptoms, or have traveled outside the country recently we are asking that you please stay home. You may call to cancel your ticket with a two day or more notice, and we will issue a credit to be used on a future class. Thank you for supporting us during this challenging time! We will do our best to make our classes as educational and fun as ever.  Now that our county has moved to Tier 1, we can all enjoy our meal under The Cookery roof again! However, if you feel more comfortable taking all of our delicious foods home in a box, you can do that as well!  You will get a portion of each dish!

Please indicate the age of your child (children) for a child’s class in the comment sections so we can make sure that their recipes are age appropriate. Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide knives if you do not have them.  We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink. Byob.
