Vegan Favorites!

May 28 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$65 – $75

When most people hear “Vegan Food” they think of boring salads and flavorless food. We’d love to show you that this isn’t the case at all! Vegan food (meaning food that contains no meat or animal byproducts) can be flavorful, vibrant, and absolutely crave-able!  Your body will actually feel and function better after eating more veggies and learn to crave them!  In this guilt-free workshop, we’ll be making dishes such as Veggie & Tofu Chilaquiles, Brown Rice Bowl with Kale, Edamame and Tamari Scallion Sauce, Cornmeal Waffles with Strawberry Syrup, Maple Berry Grits, Moroccan Spiced Couscous, Almond Caesar with Homemade Croutons, Roasted Beet and Quinoa Salad, Wedding Soup with White Bean Balls and Kale, Fried Cauliflower Gochujang, and then some! New recipes for this class because we are super excited about making veggies the best and biggest part of every meal! You read that right- we’re doing a vegan class without a single salad on the menu. Come see that there is an approachable way to integrate vegan food into your diet. Your wallet, your arteries, and your whole body will thank you!

COVID 19 UPDATE: At this time we are asking all students to wear a mask to class. We will be taking temperatures at the door, as well as providing hand sanitizer upon your arrival. If you have any symptoms, have been around someone with symptoms, or have traveled outside the country recently we are asking that you please stay home. You may call to cancel your ticket with a two day or more notice, and we will issue a credit to be used on a future class. Thank you for supporting us during this challenging time! We will do our best to make our classes as educational and fun as ever.  Now that our county has moved to Tier 1, we can all enjoy our meal under The Cookery roof again! However, if you feel more comfortable taking all of our delicious foods home in a box, you can do that as well!  You will get a portion of each dish!

Please indicate the age of your child (children) for a child’s class in the comment sections so we can make sure that their recipes are age appropriate. Class ending times may vary. Please wear closed-toed shoes and wear your hair up off your shoulders.  Bring your favorite knife and a beverage to drink if you wish. We will provide knives if you do not have them.  We will also provide aprons. We will have filtered water to drink. Byob.

Our classes are popular and often sell out!  You must cancel your registration at least 7 days in advance to receive a  refund for this class.  There will be a processing fee to cancel your ticket per person no matter when you cancel. You can cancel by calling the school at 309-263-6020 or by emailing us your request to cancel at thecookeryinc@gmail.com.  Tickets canceled the day before or on the day of class will not receive a refund or rain check for any reason (even Covid related).  You may gift or sell your tickets to someone else if you are not able to come but we cannot forward them to another class.

If you have a cardboard gift card with a 3-digit number and want to redeem it for this class, you must call or email to reserve your class spot prior to the class selling out.  If you reserve your spot with a gift card and do not show, you will forfeit the amount owed for the class from your gift card. To cash in your cardboard gift card, contact Amanda at thecookeryinc@gmail.com

If your gift card has a 16-digit code, you can cash it in online when you purchase your ticket.  Codes are case sensitive and require the dash marks to be entered to process the code.
